The Heirs -- The Characters

Wooo.. Another epic drama and this week is its 8th episode. Some sources told that many people complained how they dislike why Eun Sang couldn't fight the chaebol's children back like Jan Di did in BBF. For me, there's only one simple explanation. She is not Jan Di. Lol. Let's see the characters first. Since I love this drama so much. It felt more real than Boys Before Flower, seriously. Honestly I never like that Korean version of Taiwan version of the original Japan dorama Hana Yori Dango. I just think Meteor Garden was the best among them. Never felt bored to watch F4 and Sancai. Tee Hee.

If there's Royal Family in England, Korea has Chaebol (Conglomerates). Royal Family has their crown prince, Chaebol has their heir. The Heirs portrays how the children of Chaebol's heirs living their life. Hard establishment to be a perfect heir by their parents, compete for position as the main heir, caste separation in school which was shown by whose parents are richer and engagement for the acquisition of family companies. It's all about money, money and money. That's why logically it would be really hard or almost impossible for a housekeeper's daughter to blend in in the heirs community.

Lee Min Ho as Kim Tan

Tan is the second son of Empire/Jeguk Group, one of the biggest group in South Korea. Looked from outside, he's perfect. Tall, handsome and of course rich. But it's different if we see the facts. Tan is a 'love child'. Won, his older brother, is the son of their father with his first wife who had died. Their father married to his second wife but she couldn't give birth to any child. That's why Tan who is son of a mistress must be recognized as the son of the lawful wife who is the second wife. *dizzying*

Park Shin Hye as Cha Eun Sang

Eun Sang is a daughter of a mute housekeeper working in Empire family. An international call from her sister sends her to the States which whether it's lucky or unlucky she met Tan there. The reason why I said this drama feels more real for me is the character of Cha Eun Sang. She is the heir of poor. I'll feel it won't make sense if she dares to fight the Chaebols for their bully to her.

And there's a plan Tan's father wants to do by giving Eun Sang a scholarship to study in Jeguk School.

Kim Woo Bin as Choi Young Do

Hey, the trouble maker Kim Dong Hyub! *just can't forget Gentleman's Dignity* If most second lead males in Korean dramas were described as patient and caring man, Young Do is in the opposite side. He, with Rachel, are being in the highest caste in their school. That's why nobody dare oppose them.

Kim Ji Won as Rachel Yoo

Officially Rachel is engaged to Tan, but she never get his heart. Since Tan accept the engagement just to lessen his parents' anger because he even refuse to engage not to mention if it is a marriage.

Kang Min Hyuk as Yoon Chan Young

He is Eun Sang's best guy friend who also gets the scholarship to study in Jeguk School because his father is a secretary to Jeguk Family's first son, Won.

Krystal Jung as Lee Bo Na.

Bo Na is dating with Chan Young and they are the sweetest couple. She is always jealous of his boyfriend's and Eun Sang's closeness but inevitably she also tried to defend Eun Sang if someone disturbed her.
