It's about a man loved a woman known as his sweetheart's murderer, a woman whose true love was betrayed by man she loved, a man who does not believe in love and a woman with revenge for her unrequited love.

How can I love this draining-feeling drama without exception? I'm sorry The Heirs, I start to agree the netizens that Secret Love is better than you. Maybe you both are best in your genre for each and if I follow The Heirs till its final episode, I wish I will find it's worth to do so. Because I get it in Secret Love. 

Okay, I know it's wrong to make this decision, so I will confess that I love you two. Hehe. When I wanted to see a fresh yet too complicated chaebol teenager's quadrangle love, I will watch you. But I also love, really love, to watch the love and revenge by the four adults which electrified my emotion to the fullest.

But you two, and so many K-Dramas out there, have a similarity which maybe had been being such an identity from K-DramaLand: A millionaire prince loves a rabble girl.

Ji Sung as Jo Min Hyuk

Rich and handsome but kinda rebelled his father who wished him to marry his friend for the sake of family company acquisition. Had a lover who was a poor girl and was ready to lost everything just for her.

Till someday he burnt with revenge when he knew his lover was killed by a hit-and-run accident and the worst was she was pregnant their baby. The doctor said that Ji Hee, the girl, should have been saved if only she was not left too long lying under the rain on the road side.

He back to home and accepted what his father told about the marriage. Supposedly he could use the power he would have if he did that, just to revenge the someone had killed Ji Hee. And he really implemented his perfect revenge plans. The defendant jailed and he hindered the sentence reduction efforts and kept torturing the defendant's life outside the jail.

The bitter true fact appeared. He must swallow the reality that the woman, the defendant he had revenged was not the car driver which killed his lover. Beside trying to reveal the real killer, he also must be responsible for revenging to the wrong person.

Hwang Jung Eun as Kang Yoo Jung

Poor but a hard worker and of course she was a faithful woman. Did everything to support his boyfriend to achieve his ideals of being a prosecutor, both in terms of moral and material. Her motto was she would be happy if her lover was happy, that's why she was sincerely helped him.

In their happiest night after his boyfriend proposed her to marry, they had a traffic accident at a rainy night, Do Hoon, her boyfriend who drove at that night checked to see what they had hit and told everything was okay, it's only some barrels and they just passed the road.

Unluckily the car was on behalf of her name and polices came to ask her if she was driving at that rainy nightor not because there was an accident they were investigating. They also asked her if she drove alone or there was someone who drove the car. Without knowing that there was someone killed at that night and did not want to bother Do Hoon as she thought it was only a small case, she told the polices that she was driving alone at that rainy night.

Another bad luckiness for her, Do Hoon was the prosecutor for that case. He asked Yoo Jung to tell the truth that she was not the driver. Her undying love could not let him to sit on the prisoner chair which would ruin his career and sincerely she replaced him to be sentenced to 5 years in prison.

It's only a starter. She must give a birth (Do Hoon's son) in jail and Min Hyuk whose power to make his revenge running smoothly from outside the jail and pressed Do Hoon to make Yoo Jung failed in getting her sentence reduction. She was also accused of injuring her son which caused her lost the custody. It felt like it was not enough torture for her when she knew her father was mentally ill because of her arrest.

Bae Soo Bin as Ahn Do Hoon

Born in a simple family with a great and wise hope to help people without money get the fair justice by being a prosecutor. His biggest mistake was lying that they just hit some barrels at the rainy night.

Because of Min Hyuk's pressure that he could destroy his career, he was forced to follow what Min Hyuk wanted to do. Deliberately he caused Yoo Jung failed in getting the sentence reduction and he was also the man behind her son custody loss.

Min Hyuk knew they were a couple and to make his revenge to his lover killer perfectly done, he instead offered Do Hoon to join him to be a lawyer of his company group and leave his try-hard-to-be-clean-but-result-little-money prosecutor. For what? In order to make him under Min Hyuk's control that would be more torturing for Yoo Jung, his boyfriend was having a close relationship to someone whose lover had been killed by the car they drove.

And that was Min Hyuk's biggest mistake beside revenging to the wrong person. Unwittingly he had opened the chance for the real killer to be a real monster. It's like backfire for him, Do Hoon precisely used the position Min Hyuk had given to clean his possibility to sit in the prisoner chair.

Lee Da Hee as Shin Se Yeon

She was Min Hyuk's fiance. Actually she really loved him but she knew she would never be able to replace Ji Hee in that guy's heart. The fact that she still could not own Min Hyuk's love though Ji Hee was died, but the woman 'killer' get his most attention instead of her, made her burning with jealousy.

Which led her to destroy Min Hyuk by shaking his company so he needed to make a decision: marry her or his father would be suffer because she had the file of dark secrets which could ruin their family company.

And someone Se Yeon cooperated with was Ahn Do Hoon.
